Cultural activities in Toulouse

Start off with a stroll through the city and admire its beautiful architecture, then stop off at the Théâtre du Capitole and its vast square. You may want to see an opera, dance show or even a play. It is up to you to choose from the range of entertainment on offer while you are in the city. Whatever you choose, you must stop and look at the theatre's incredible 18th-century façade. Then, visit the unique Basilica of Saint-Sernin, which houses relics from Saint Saturnin, the first Bishop of Toulouse. Then, head to the Musée des Augustins. This magnificent museum used to be the Augustins Convent but now houses an impressive art collection. Go to admire its sculptures and paintings from the Roman era all the way up to the start of the 20th century. Finally, admire the Pont-Neuf, or "new bridge", which crosses the Garonne River and links Place du Pont-Neuf and Rue de la République. But don't be fooled by its name! It is actually the oldest bridge in the city.
